One person found this helpful. I only update my QB edition every few years. The edition seems to be an upgrade as far as clarity and presentation of reports. Not much else new that I have seen so far. Overall, I always have issues with the loading of the program and the workability when it comes to saving and restoring client files. I just downloaded the Desktop Pro onto my computer, but didn't know how to register it.

I called the customer service number and got through to an agent in a timely manner. She took the time to completely resolve any issues and made sure I was able to register my account and link it to my computer. I could not be happier so far with their customer service.

In a couple of weeks, I will undergo a 2 hour training on quickbooks and will review the actual product after using it a bit. So far, they are knocking it out of the ball park! I've been using Quickbooks for years. I give it a 4 because there's always some little quirk and I don't like the idea of upgrading every 3 years. Tech support is only helpful in the beginning of a first purchase installation or upgrade purchase installation.

Get it right in the first few days or expect to be charged for tech support. I purchased Desktop Pro and installed it on my laptop. I registered the app and didn't use the QB for some time afterwards. I wrote down all the required information, email address, password, etc. When I tried to log back onto the app after some months passed, the app didn't recognize the password I placed into the program. Therefore, I tried to reset the password and following the directions, the app would not accept the license number I have for the software, that is on the package.

I went to the Intuit website and logged into the chat room, gave them the information they requested and asked, at the end, if I had tried restarting my laptop.

I said I hadn't. I did this and it made no difference. On the app, it recommended I call technical support, which I did. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, I gave up. I then went back to the Intuit website and it gave me an option to schedule a call back and I signed up for it.

Why would the sales department call me when I have a technical problem? I then tried to call the number I was given, , but after being on hold for a very long period of time, I gave up. I've always purchased TurboTax in the past and my experience was very satisfactory. This was my first foray into QB and I'm pretty dissatisfied.

Not only with the way QB works or rather, doesn't work , but their customer service is very underwhelming. I only buy an update to my Quickbooks every 3 years or when the current support "expires" for the version in use. Face it, accounting rules haven't changed in a long time so as long as debit on the left, credits on the right, all they are changing is the presentation. It works and that's all I need.

I dreaded installing my new Quickbooks Pro because of the reviews. I finally did it and had no issues upgrading from the Pro My computer is fairly new which is why I think it went smoothly. I don't see much change in the program. It's a little pricey for small business use. I didn't need tech support, but I'm sure I will eventually. They charge you for that too. I have been using QuickBooks for years and they continually upgrade the product.
